TASTING NOTE

Dark ruby-garnet colour, in the nose intense berry aromas with subtle notes of fresh herbs and slighlty sweet tobacco. On the palate full volume, compact structure. The combination of well balanced tannins and descreet acidity makes for an agreeable finish. The perfect companion for tasty meat- or pasta dishes, with cheese or simply solo.

Description

CHAK stands for “together, jointly” in the language of the Mapuche Indians, the native inhabitants of Chile. CHAK is my inspiration and highest goal: to bring together in harmony the Bordeaux-type elegance and the Chilean natural power. 2021 was a typical year for Chile: hot days and comfortable nights, delightfully cooled by the fresh evening breeze from the nearby Pacific Ocean; resulting in the perfect ripening of our healthy grapes. Native in Chile, our Carménère grapes come from a vineyard in the neighbouring community of Placilla, the very heart of the Colchagua Valley. The self-rooted, over 20-year old vines, blessed by a perfect climate and ideal terroir, unfold here the full range of fragrancies.
