TASTING NOTE

"Deep dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate lightening at the edges. Fine spice of precious wood, a hint of bergamot, nuances of mint and cassis, underlined with black forest berries, complex bouquet. Juicy, dark cherries, currants, supporting tannins, present acid structure, fine nougat in the aftertaste, lemony in the finish, will benefit from bottle age." (92 Falstaff points / Peter Moser & Ulrich Sautter (Feb. 2017)) An authentic character wine with Bordelais elegance and Chilean spice. Great storage potential.

Description

"A fresh wind is blowing in the Colchagua Valley, which already produces some of the best wines in Chile. (...) I have never tasted a wine like that of the Swiss Daniel Wiederkehr. He came to Chile in 2001 (...). Ten years later, he began producing Cabernet Sauvignon in the vineyard of his own winery, Viña Nahuel, which was planted in 1942. The old vines produce a delicious wine - with racy acidity and a lively range of aromas." (05/2016)
